Think Global Health is a multi-contributor website that examines the ways in which changes in health are reshaping economies, societies, and the everyday lives of people around the globe. The articles on this website consider the ways that health influences and interacts with broader social, economic, and demographic trends, ranging from the global growth of cities and the migration of people, to the effects of climate change and worldwide trends in agriculture, to the expansion of international supply chains and the empowerment of women and girls.

Superbugs and You

Infections caused by highly drug-resistant bacteria, or “superbugs,” are becoming more and more common, making antimicrobial resistance one of the world’s greatest health threats. In fact, infections caused by superbugs are projected to reach epidemic levels within our lifetimes. Drug-resistant infections can affect anyone, and we are all at risk.

 

This podcast series will address this global crisis through conversations with patients, clinicians, and researchers to discover how superbugs are affecting people and healthcare systems globally. The CoVax Files is a podcast hosted by investigative healthcare journalist Surani Fernando that dives deeper into the Covid-19 vaccine race with top experts from around the world.
